Grace is the only one who would actually venture out in this nasty weather we're experiencing. She didn't stay long, either...
The furnace has been working great until Wednesday morning...
Furnace guys were here, and an actual piece was not working (broken??) in the furnace, so they tried to make it go on all the backups, but it didn't work entirely.
It runs non-stop and gets up to a whopping 70 (which I do appreciate at this point), but then blows totally cold air, and the temperature drops overnight 6 to 10 degrees in the living room, but gets in the low 50's in the family room!!! GHEEZ...

More furry pictures of Stig and the kitties...
Uncle Charlie with Stig last Sunday.
This was a new configuration for sleeping for Georgy (in the tube) and Bogart on the middle level (he usually likes the top spot).
We're actually trying to get the cats NOT to sleep on this table, but I got some new 'organizing cubes' and when I opened them, Grace jumped right in one.
Of course, Bogart had to inspect, and he did put his front paws in the empty one, but somehow knew he wouldn't fit, so just backed out of it.

Marty & Samantha's new 'furry baby'.... STIG
Stig made his first trip to mema's house (my mom's in Des Moines) yesterday.
Here he's showing how he can tame the toy!
Stig cuddling with his 'cat brother', Patrick (at his own house, not in Des Moines).
Stig modeling his Christmas sweater. Lovely!
Stig all ready for a cold winter's night (not this week in record-breaking Iowa warm winter temperatures!).

We furry children LOVE the Marty cat-bed train!
Look closely and you will see there are 3 black cats in this picture. Gracie is curled up in the 'cubby' section of the train cat-bed behind Georgy.
Bogart Wrigley LOVES the top of the train, and curls up there frequently.
That's Gracie tucked into the cubby area, without George in front of her...
John rearranged a table so Bogie also has a new perch in the west windows at our house.

Happy 2012!
This is what my 'handy' son-in-law built for me (and the furry kids) for Christmas! It's shaped like a train engine (a recurring theme at our house for some reason!!??), and it's really fun!
That's Bogart Wrigley (above) sitting on the top overseeing his 'domain'.
Noel took a turn at it, too, and really loved the tube (and fell out the other end once before she realized it was open).
Noel peeking out from the tube.
Grace and Georgy weren't quite as brave as Bogie the first day it came home, but Georgy likes to hide in the tube and pounce at Bogie when he gets close!
Our three 'panthers' enjoying the unseasonably (un-Iowa!!) December 31st temperatures on the patio.
