Friday in Carroll

We went to Sac City yesterday first to visit John's mom, who is doing GREAT at the rehab center and took her to lunch at "The Hub". Then we headed for Carroll and I met Samantha and Marty's mom at the florist to talk over wedding flowers and invitation options.

While I was 'helping' Samantha, John took Izaac for a short nap ride and then to the park in Carroll. It's a really nice park, shelter, lots of equipment for kids, tennis courts, etc. So Izaac took a ride on 'dumbo'.

We had brats and 'dogs' on the grill for supper at Marty's, and Izaac played with Marty's 'rolling stock' (tractors and equipment) and Samantha's portable keyboard.

This is the most recent picture I have of our niece, Claire, who graduated from DePaul in June, ('09) and still resides in Chicago. The picture was from my camera, but I didn't take it. Several people had my camera (and Samantha's fancy one) during the party weekend in MN at John's sister's house.

Izaac helping clean out my kids' rooms...

Izaac back here at "Camp" today after a couple of days in Des Moines. I took this picture last week when we were working on cleaning out Alex and Samantha's rooms (hey, they graduated college and moved out, so, I'm moving THEM on...).

That's a pair of Samantha's old glasses (it was fun to see Izaac try and walk with them on) and Alex's Ernie puppet. He found CARS in Alex's rooms and has had fun playing with them. I didn't remember Alex to be that much of a "car guy" but he has 100 or more lined up on shelves in his room plus some in bins under his bed!
